Achieving student success in the variety of assessments used in AQA A level Geography

Course Details

In June 2018 the first round of assessments for the AQA A level course in Geography will take place. In addition to the new areas of content students will have to become competent in a variety of question types and formats. This course will focus on the most effective way to prepare your students to score well in each of the following types of question:

Short knowledge based, such as the definition of terms and outlining of processes.

Data response and data stimulus- including the use of novel situations

Extended prose- targeted at specific areas of knowledge

Linking or connecting- assess understanding within and across specification units

The 20 mark essay

The NEA- individual investigation
